We are currently developing an automated device PD-Auto, where stacks of 15 AST agar plates can be placed. The PD-Auto will automatically take photos of the AST plates and the results will be displayed in the software as in the PD-100 today.

The PD-Auto will be ready for sale within a few months.

Introduction

All our products use the PD-Technology to measure and analyse inhibition zones for Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing using the disc diffusion test.

PD-100

The PD-100 is a small size equipment that easily and automatically reads and analyses inhibition zones for resistance testing using the disc diffusion test. PD-100 ensures uniform measurements and a high degree of traceability.

PD-Auto

The PD-Auto is an automatic device applicable for more than 100 agar plates per day

TEST AND VALIDATION

PD-100 has been tested and validated in cooperation with Hvidovre Hospital.

Inhibition zones for gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria were measured by PD-100 and by manual measurement respectively. The average conformity of the two different methods were calculated and compared. The results showed an average conformity of 99 % for the gram positive bacteria and 96 % for the gram negative bacteria.

The identification of the antibiotic discs is done 99% certainty.
