PD-100
The PD-100 is a small size equipment that easily and automatically reads and analyses inhibition zones for resistance testing using the disc diffusion test. PD-100 ensures uniform measurements and a high degree of traceability.

PD-Auto
The PD-Auto is an automatic device applicable for more than 100 agar plates per day

Test & Validation
To ensure high quality and clinical reliability, our solutions are continuously tested and validated in collaboration with clinical laboratories.
A recent validation study conducted at the Microbiology Laboratory at Hallands Sjukhus in Halmstad, Sweden evaluated the analytical performance of the PD-100 Automated Zone Reader compared with manual EUCAST disk diffusion reading.
Key results include:
- 98% agreement with manual reference reading after operator verification
- 100% disk identification accuracy
- 100% categorical agreement (S/I/R interpretation)
- No Very Major Errors (VME) or Major Errors (ME) observed
- Up to 52% faster processing per plate
The results demonstrate that PD-100 provides reliable and reproducible zone measurements while improving laboratory workflow, standardization, and traceability through automated data transfer and image archiving.

PD-100 has been tested and validated in cooperation with Hvidovre Hospital.
Inhibition zones for gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria were measured by PD-100 and by manual measurement respectively. The average conformity of the two different methods were calculated and compared. The results showed an average conformity of 99% for the gram positive bacteria and 96% for the gram negative bacteria.
